The beginning of this week has allowed us to undress and get some much needed vitamin D rays into our skin. This weather is perfect for starting to try out some of those Spring trends we have been hearing about. Whites and pastels are always big in the beginning of spring, it’s an easy combo to try. A white pair of jeans and a pastel pink, blue or mint top is an easy way to try this trend.
Off the shoulder dresses and tops along with midriffs are also going to make there way on to some people. Off the shoulder tops, just like the ones from the 90’s are cute, very wearable and summery. Midriffs on the other hand, well let’s just say they aren’t going to be for everyone maybe just the models in the magazines or teenage girls.
Other spring summer trends I’ve been seeing in magazines, new season ranges and on the web are stripes (love the easiness of stripes), wide leg pants and it seems cobalt blue hues are coming back our way. Which is great besides the fact that I passed on my colbat blue shirt as I thought it was done (doesn’t that always happen?)
What other trends are you waiting to try, now that winter is out the door?
Last of each…these tops are so cute and we sold out on two occasions. This style was first made popular by the beautiful Olivia P, now you can look just as good and stylish.

Wear it inspiration
We love the double denim combo, though we know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea.. My brother for instance tells me that it and I belong back in the 80’s.
Well these days you can rock the duo, but you must have two shades of denim. I prefer to wear a lighter shade on top and darker bottoms. Remembering it doesn’t always have to be two shades of blue, you can easily rock black, white and or grey denim too. Also the key to making the duo work is to have a statement piece drawing the eye away from the denim. A cool scarf, statement necklace a pop of colour somewhere that stands out.
My everyday style, keeping it easy and fun mixing prints.
We all admire the faux fur vest, it’s another piece the is “on trend” every Autumn & Winter. It’s the piece that will add instant sophistication to any outfit. And we love it! It will add a layer of warmth in these cold times. It can be teamed perfectly with a shirt / blouse, jeans and heels. It can also be worn more casually with a knit, jean boots or sneakers.
It’s most important to not wear anything too bulky underneath it or on your lower half, it’s best teamed with items that are slim fitting to balance out your outfit.
There are so many options of wearing this feline enhanced pattern. From throwing on a leopard print scarf with a black or white shirt, leopard print heels or flats with your favourite jeans or pants. It really has become a go to, a neutral just like black, white, grey and my other neutral stripes. We love leopard print because it make a plain outfit something special – adds a little style.
If you can’t handle the heat of something so bold as a shirt or skirt, there are so many options of leopard print accessories like bags, clutches, earrings and bangles. Leopard print works well with almost everything, it also really loves pops of colour. Either add a coloured knit or statement necklace to really make it meow!
