I am loving this style of pant. I was very sceptical to begin with and did not like what I was seeing. But I have the perfect pair and they are a bargain price. A lot of these type of pants (harem, slouch, joggers) are quite low in that crotch area and just hang a little too much for my liking – they were putting me off, but not anymore.
The versatility of these pants are amazing too – from school runs and weekend casual teamed with sneakers and a striped tee. For work with a tailored top and heels and also for a girls night out with a cute top, statement necklace, heels and a clutch. So many options for one pair of comfy pants.
So glad I found these and they are in my life – wardrobe complete!

Just found my self at Westfield West Lakes in David Jones, and stumbled across French Connection. I found myself leaving with a list of “want’s” to pass onto Scott, just incase he hasn’t secretly bought me anything for my birthday.
First up was this cutest black frilly top, peplum style, slightly on an angle. Really cute, I picture myself getting a lot of wear out of this. Also comes in white, but loved the black. It is normal t-shirt cotton, with the frilly bits being cheesecloth which adds a new textured dimension.
I also fell in love with the Colour Block hat – it’s a medium size hat, so has more protection unlike the smaller versions. Great colours black, white and natural – which means will go with all other colour palettes. Great hat for the beach or beautiful summer days in the sun.

I also tried on this cute dress, which just screamed SUMMER at me. Tank style top, with elastic waist and tie belt. It also has pockets (nothing makes me happier than pockets). This dress was a great price too and would be a weekend go to piece for me, especially as the colour palette is fairly neutral.

I am loving all these items, just hoping Scott logs onto to take a look. Would love to know which piece you love most. xx
This week I hit up Katies. I have been seeing all the other bloggers advertising their clothing, which got me intrigued. I haven’t been to Katies for a very long time and all of a sudden the brand was popping up everywhere (even on my fb page)….I had to see what all the fuss was about. Guess what, I was quite surprised.
First up this cute summer dress, which is screaming 70’s (all the rage this season). I really like it, it’s a good length, colour and print. I would wear it with tan sandals or cute block heel (like the one from Witchery). It would be an easy to wear item for the summer months.
Katies Shift Dress
I really like these cute cropped sateen print pants, (a few prints to choose from). A cropped pant works so well for summer, perfect for the office with a block heel and solid block coloured top. Like a pair of good tailored shorts, a pair of pants like these will look good for all occasions.
Cropped Sateen Pant
Found this great batwing top, it’s cotton so very light weight and breathable – and it’s in one of my favourite colours…Coral. Team with some jeans, tan sandals and bag and you are ready to get out the door. An easy to wear top that I love.
Katies was quite a surprise, I liked quite a lot of the stock they had on display. The best thing was the reasonable, affordable price of all their clothes. Ill be heading back in the future.
Ladies this weeks lust haves are late due to the long weekend, neither of us had time to get into a CR store either so we have been searching online. We love Country Road – their clothes are always made well, the quality is always excellent and they stand the test of time.
I found this cute Cape shoulder top, which comes in white. I am loving it, I could wear it to either work or play. This spring / summer a lot of tops are going to be with a cape shoulder or have shoulder cut outs, which adds a little something different. I am also loving that this top almost billows out and isn’t snug. It maybe worth a store visit.
Cape Shoulder Top
Next item I am eyeing is a pair of Culottes – in classic black these culottes have serious style mileage. Simplicity is the key when it comes to dressing these the trouser-skirt hybrid. The culotte is defintly cementing itself as the must-have piece for spring/summer. If your not use to wearing these it is best to strike a balance, wearing a heel helps to lengthen your look and balance out the large, billowy leg opening.
And lastly who doesn’t love a tailored short for summer. A black short can smarten up any day time look, it’s a polished chic look. CR say “Clean and tailored, this high-waisted short will prove a versatile piece in your spring wardrobe. Pair it with a drapey silk shirt and dressy sandal on the weekend”. We are all on the same page with these babies. If you were to grab one item it should be the tailored short.
This weeks lust have’s – we would love to know your favourite?
We thought we would introduce a new weekly post, which is all about items we are lusting over from some of our favorite stores.
This week we went into one of our all time favorites, Witchery. It is seriously my go to store, it doesn’t matter what I need or for what occasion I need something…. (or no occasion at all) this is the store where Ill find what I am looking for and is always the first store I go to.
First up is the mid tan heel – this shoe is so cute. It is going to be seen everywhere, all the stores have a similar version. I love this one as the strap in singular, as I am not a fan of cross straps and the shoe is suede. The heel height is perfect for spring / summer, it is stylish and comfortable for day or night. Team with jeans and cute white blouse and you will just scream summer!
Alva Block Heel
Next up is the cute little white gathered top – Witchery are stating “Loaded with versatility but equally decorative, the Gathered Top will easily take you from the boardroom to bar. The sleek design is rendered with a deep v-front and elasticised waistband with frill details for an ultimately feminine finish“. I am totally agreeing with that, this top is so cute and we think that the semi peplum look adds / or hides any tummy issues you maybe having.
Lastly we are loving the cute crossbody bag. I have my eye on the Chanel Wallet on a Chain (which is just a tad out of my price range) so I have been trying to find something that I would be happy to wear, which looks classy and is functional. With its tan and natural finish this bag is perfect for all outfit colour combos palettes and occasions. This cute little bag ticks all my boxes.
Baylee Crossbody Bag
These 3 items should start getting you a little more excited about the future summer days and nights that are slowly making their way too us. Check back next week to see what we are lusting over! xx
So I have just gotten back from 3 weeks in Italy, it was truly amazing. I got to experience an Italian wedding, walk my families village with my Nonno hearing about all his stories and also travel both to the south and north of the beautiful country. I climbed the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Duomo in Milan, sailed around the Island of Capri, drove the Amalfi Coast and even went to the Monza F1 Grand Prix.
I also completely over-packed even though, I promised I wouldn’t, and also didn’t wear half of what I did pack (silly me).The weather was perfect the whole time we were there. I window shopped all the big designer labels, Gucci, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, and wondered why there were so many of these designer stores, they are everywhere……but all empty. Who was shopping in them. I also wondered why is portrayed that all these beautiful Italian women are wearing high heeled Jimmy Choo, when in fact they are all wearing flats. I know I wouldn’t try to navigate those cobbled streets with high heels, I struggle just on flat concrete.
I did notice that most women wore capri / ankle length pant (tailored) with a silk shirt or blouse. They did look impeccable, and you could tell the quality of their clothing was very high. It was a very basic ensemble but looked very tailored and well put together. I did see a lot of the jeans, sneaker and blazer look as well, I look I love. There were also plenty of Adidas Stan Smiths rocking those cobbled streets too.
We would love to know about your favorite European looks. Stay tuned to read all about my favorite places and do’s and dont’s of travelling in Italy. In the meantime take a look at some of my pics. xx
It seems everyone is writing posts about what they are packing on their trips away….well I am going to jump on board! I am heading off to Italy next week for 3 beautiful glorious weeks. I’ll be in my families village for my cousins wedding, which is south of Rome right near Naples, then heading back to Rome and onto Nice. My suitcase needs to be filled with easy, casual summer clothes that can take me from the beach, to the shops then off to dinner.
We have previously touched on capsules wardrobes, well I am going to need a capsule suitcase. Where else would I find all the right ideas and inspiration needed for this task, but Pinterest. I have been scrolling through and pinning like a crazy women, but have found all the inspro I required.
First thing I had to decide was a colour scheme, I have chosen a colour palette of – Black, white, Navy & Grey – and then throwing in shoes, bags & accessories to change up the outfit looks. Everything that I pack has to be able to be worn together (mix & match), and by keeping to a pretty neutral colour scheme Ill be able to achieve this. I am hoping to pack as little as possible, because we all know you have to have a little shop when on holidays! Cant wait to show you all what I am packing….
